Constructed with a standard length and medium Fit and arch, the upper of this shoe is constructed using synthetic leather and a polyester-based mesh for enhanced ventilation and dry-fit comfort. There is a PGuard employed at the toe area to improve durability, and a personal Heel Fit collar that locks the heel in place and provides added comfort and impact protection to the heel. Side-to-side movement made easy

The midsole of the shoe is employed with the Asics Gel Cushioning system for that extra comfort that protects the feet from impact during a competitive game of tennis. Injected with Solyte 55 inserts, the midsole is made all the more lighter than the Asics standard EVA or SpEVA footbeds. This offers improved cushioning and durability, along with a speed oriented feel making it extremely easy for tennis players to make those side-to-side movements. The rearfoot and forefoot offers ample cushioning and support in the right points of the foot, protecting the feet completely from shock.  

Modified tread for great traction

The outsole of the Asics Gel Challenger 8 is made of Asics High Abrasion Resistant Rubber or AHAR for increased durability. Created using a modified tread pattern, this tennis shoe provides non-marking traction on all court surfaces. The forefoot and rearfoot and joined together by a plastic shank called the Trusstic System that offers excellent midfoot support, allowing ample traction across various surfaces. This plastic shank doesn’t touch the ground and instead wraps neatly around the inner arch of the foot, providing distinct grip and support for good court movement.
